RiscStation interview on MyRISCOS

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 16:11, 29/4/2002 | , ,

MyRISCOS have scored themselves an exclusive interview with Roy Heslop of RiscStation, with news (sort of) about the laptop and about designing RISC OS hardware. Some of it seems particularly pertinant after all that talk about the Omega...

Unregistered user If by that you mean coursework etc technically you're working for yourself. You don't have to do the work and the university is under no obligation to allow you to continue if you don't :)

What you're paying the university for is the privilege of using their resources (and no, I don't agree with student fees).

Unregistered user Actually we do work for the Universitys (at least at ours) anything I design, they take a very large (greater than 50% IIRC at the lower band!) percentage of the profit :(
Almost wants to make us not design stuff :(

Unregistered user 1. There will not be a working portable at the show.
2. There might be bits of it at the show, like a PCB and some chips.
3. The Evolution that has been sat in developmental hold does not exist - the Simtec CATS board however does which is nothing to do with the 'Evolution'.
4. 6 months to finnish? And how long has the tiny little portable taken? And the comparitive complexity of Evolution would be how many times greater? Add it up.
